Professional Cable announced today that it aims to help awareness and research for Hydrocephalus by donation a portion of the proceeds of its new Xavier brand cables to the Hydrocephalus Association.

Founded in 2007 by Jason Bringhurst in Orem, Utah, Professional Cable has some big ideas on how to help people around the world, one cable at a time. Supplying cables and IT supplies is just where the story begins.

In 2012 Jason’s son Xavier was born 3 moths premature and later developed hydrocephalus which is common among babies born this early. For Jason and their family, was a crash course in learning about Hydrocephalus and how it affects children.

As Professional Cable was developing new packaging for some of its products, Jason had the idea to brand them Xavier after his son, and to donate a portion of the proceeds to help in the awareness and research of Hydrocephalus. They plan on donating to the Hydrocephalus Association’s “A reason for hope” campaign.

“Anything we can do to raise awareness and further the study of Hydrocephalus will be a blessing to many children in the future.” said Jason Bringhurst, President of Professional Cable.

Xavier brand cables include: Micro USB cables, Auxiliary Audio Cables, iPad, iPhone, and iPod cables and chargers, as well as Mini DisplayPort (Thunderbolt) adapter cables. You can see these at the Professional Cable booth # 54024 at the International CES Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas January 8-11, 2013.
